Reynier Llanes Acquired by AGB Museum of Art

We are pleased to share that a work by Reynier Llanes has been added to the permanent collection of the Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art at Florida Southern College.

First presented at the museum during Llanes’s 2023 solo exhibition Timeless Origins, this painting from The Tourist series reflects a body of work developed during the pandemic, in which faceless figures appear in unexpected settings that carry a quiet metaphorical charge and a sense of hope.

Its inclusion in the permanent collection marks a meaningful return after other notable presentations, including Passages at the Gibbes Museum of Art and an exhibition at Harmon-Meek Gallery.

The painting is now permanently on view in the museum’s recently expanded stairway gallery.
