Trained in theatre design, then shaped by years of scenic painting on an architectural scale, she developed a nuanced understanding of mood, illusion, and spatial presence. Charlotte Elizabeth has worked professionally with paint for over fifteen years. After training in theatre design, she established a career as a scenic artist in London’s West End, contributing to large-scale backcloths and murals for major productions and institutions including the Royal Opera House, the English National Opera, and the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Following her move to Asia, her practice evolved into a studio-based body of work that has gained international recognition. Her paintings have been exhibited and collected worldwide.
