D'Arcy Bellamy

With a career spanning 20 years in creating steel sculptures, D’Arcy Bellamy is an established and well-known metal sculptor. Bellamy focuses on making large, human-scale, abstract, minimalist, and inspirational sculptures exclusively from steel pipe. Bellamy’s work is characterized by flowing lines, negative space, originality, movement, and shadows. The work has a spontaneous and playful nature, giving the viewer a sense of discovery, connectedness, and positive emotional response. They engage the senses of sight, touch, and wonder.

Bellamy is a self-taught artist. After growing up along the East coast, going to college in the Midwest, and spending 2 years in the Caribbean, Bellamy began to explore art in 2002 at The Creative Arts Center in Dallas where he quickly found his medium of steel pipe as a metal worker. Over the last 20 years, Bellamy has lived in Colorado, Dallas, and Boise, ID. His award-winning original sculptures have been exhibited and collected in private and public places throughout the United States.
